This September, SHIFT will take centre stage at Digital Heritage 2025 in Siena, the premier international event for cultural heritage digitalisation. For three years, SHIFT has been working at the intersection of cultural heritage and cutting-edge technology, developing tools and approaches that make heritage more accessible, inclusive, and engaging for all.
Now, as the project reaches its conclusion, we are proud to present our results to the global cultural heritage community and everyone working in the field of digital heritage.

SHIFT and the Digital Cultural Heritage Cluster
SHIFT is not coming to Siena alone. Together with our sister projects in the EU-funded Digital Cultural Heritage Cluster, we are advancing a shared mission: to transform the way cultural heritage is experienced and preserved. By pooling expertise across projects, the Cluster is helping cultural institutions adopt the latest technologies — from artificial intelligence and machine learning to haptics, audio synthesis, and data-driven methodologies — ensuring that cultural heritage is not only safeguarded but also made more appealing and inclusive for diverse audiences.
Our presence at Digital Heritage 2025 will reflect this dual mission: showcasing SHIFT’s own results, while also contributing to the Cluster’s broader push for accessibility, inclusion, and innovation.
