In the scope of the SHIFT project, supported through the Horizon 2020 programme, the Balkan Museum Network, as a project partner, and the Homeland Museum of Knjaževac, as a use case provider, organized the second workshop and conducted interviews with three blind people, representatives of one of the project’s target groups.
The second workshop was formulated as an interview with representatives of the Association of blind persons: M.A. Marija Milanović, psychologist and communicologist Slobodan Dujkić Buca, musician and president of the Zaječar District Organization of the Association of the Blind of Serbia; Vojislav Izvonar, vice president of the Zaječar District Organization of the Association of the Blind of Serbia. Two interviews/workshops were organized and guided by Milena Milošević Micić, museum advisor art historian and were held in June 2024 in Niš and Zaječar.
The workshop’s main goal was to introduce representatives of the Associations of blind persons to the main objectives of the SHIFT project, projected outcomes, and technical solutions developed through the project. Examples of the technical solutions and tools have been presented as videos with audio narrations and explained during the interview, followed by the feedback given by the persons interviewed and conclusions and suggestions for further work.
Another important element of the workshop was to get inputs and suggestions, general conclusions about the best possible solutions and approaches for blind and visually impaired persons.
